Managing your Mental Health in a Crisis
-
Do not make any important decisions - put them off until you are feeling better.
-
Remove as many stressors as possible - anything that causes stress that you don't have to do right now, delay.
-
Don't pressure yourself - to be perfect at the moment - once you are feeling better you will be able to work/function/perform better.
-
Find ways to relax frequently - this might be as simple as listening to music you like, taking a nice walk, spending time in nature, completing breathing or meditation techniques, or getting a massage.
-
See your GP - for immediate advice and guidance.
-
See a natural therapy professional - for advice about managing your mental health care. Make sure that their suggestions do not conflict with any medication you are taking.
